Every Oriel fragrance starts as a single raw material we can't stop smelling. The composition is built around it over a year or more — usually forty or fifty trials before one is right.
We macerate for six weeks, filter cold, and bottle by hand in fifty-millilitre flacons. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is added that doesn't earn its place.

Bergamot from Calabria, vetiver from Haiti, orris aged three years. We visit every grower.
Compose
Forty trials on average. The perfumer wears each one for a week before the next.
Macerate
Six weeks in the dark so the notes settle into each other.
Bottle
Filtered cold, filled by hand, labelled one at a time.
