Maison Oriel — Nº 07 Vetiver Dawn
SurfaceTop notesHeart notesBase notes Top noteBergamot, first light
Calabrian bergamot, cold-pressed from the peel the morning it is picked. Bright, a little bitter, gone in twenty minutes — the door you walk in through.
Top notePink pepper
A handful of rose-coloured berries, crushed. Sparkling rather than hot: it keeps the citrus from turning sweet while the heart wakes up.
Heart noteIris, at the centre
Orris butter from roots aged three years before they give anything. Powdery, cool, faintly violet — the note the whole fragrance is built around.
Heart noteOrange blossom
Neroli from Tunisia, soft and green rather than white and loud. It warms the iris and carries it into the afternoon.
Base noteVetiver, the root of it
Haitian vetiver, distilled slowly from roots washed in the river. Smoky, earthy, dry as a cut field — this is what stays on the skin at midnight.
Base noteAmber & cedar
Labdanum and Virginia cedar underneath everything, with a trace of vanilla pod for warmth. Eight hours in, this is all that's left — and it's enough.
